Our guest this hour is acclaimed singer-songwriter and Old 97's bandleader Rhett Miller, who's here to discuss his latest solo album The Misfits. This is the Texas-bred singer-songwriter’s 9th album, and it’s another clear indication of his strong ability to craft earworms that go deeper than your average pop song. Miller collaborated on the album with Sam Cohen, known as a producer for works by Kevin Morby, Danger Mouse and many more. Sam and Rhett got together daily to write songs, creating a routine that led to the sublime and even psychedelic new record we recommend to all. Part of Pantheon Podcasts
