The investigation involving Meghan Markle's estranged father, Thomas Markle, has taken another turn after the Metropolitan Police confirmed receiving a letter containing allegations against him in January 2019 but failing to share those details with other law enforcement agencies.
The letter was reportedly written by Thomas Markle's late first wife, Roslyn Loveless. Scotland Yard is now reviewing how the correspondence was handled, while Meghan's representatives have clarified her earlier statement that she learned of the allegations in 2018.
Meanwhile, Thomas Markle Jr. claims he discovered child sexual abuse material among his father's belongings in the Philippines. The FBI has acknowledged awareness of the allegations, and Philippine authorities are conducting an investigation.
Thomas Markle Sr. denies wrongdoing, claims any illegal material was planted and says he is willing to cooperate with investigators. He has not been charged. The family is deeply divided. Thomas Jr. has apologized to Meghan for previously defending their father, while Samantha Markle alleges her brother's accusations followed a financial dispute.
