Show Notes
In today’s episode, I’m joined by Laura Boland, a baby massage instructor and mum from Limerick who has been through an incredibly emotional fertility journey over the past five years. Laura shares her experience of endometriosis, and a blocked Fallopian tube. Her path has included IUI, IVF, the early birth of her son Charlie who spent 11 weeks in NICU, as well as multiple IVF rounds, failed cycles, an ectopic pregnancy, and the heartbreaking loss of another baby earlier this year. She speaks with such honesty about the emotional impact, the physical toll, the silence around loss, and the gaps in care including the insensitive language she’s encountered along the way. And through it all, she continues to care for others, both through her baby massage work and supporting people experiencing homelessness. This is a very emotional episode. Laura talks in detail about early labour, pregnancy loss, and difficult medical experiences so please take care as you listen.
