Global Greek Influence- Giota Pimenidou

Show Notes

The world isn’t just becoming more multipolar. The ideas driving global power are changing too. Giota Pimenidou speaks with geopolitical strategist Dr Jake Sotiriadis about the return of ideology as a force in international affairs ... and why economics, military strength and conventional ideas of national interest no longer tell the whole story. Sotiriadis spent 21 years as a U.S. Air Force intelligence officer, founded the Air Force’s Strategic Foresight capability and established the Center for Futures Intelligence at National Intelligence University. He is now a senior associate at CSIS and an adviser and instructor at the U.S. State Department’s National Foreign Affairs Training Center. From US-China competition and Russia to strategic foresight and the erosion of the post-Cold War consensus, the conversation asks a more fundamental question: what happens when rival powers are no longer competing only over interests, but over competing visions of how the world should work? #Geopolitics #JakeSotiriadis #Ideology #GlobalPower #StrategicForesight #MultipolarWorld #InternationalRelations #GreatPowerCompetition

Air Force, δημιούργησε τη λειτουργία Strategic Foresight της αμερικανικής Πολεμικής Αεροπορίας και ίδρυσε το Center for Futures Intelligence στο National Intelligence University. Σήμερα είναι senior associate στο CSIS και σύμβουλος και εκπαιδευτής του State Department.
