Diddy Vs The Drug Lord: Fort Dix’s Most Famous Prisoner Clashes With Its Most Notorious
True Crime RealityShow Notes
**UPDATE Since this episode was recorded, TMZ says prison officials have pushed back on the reports that Diddy's injury was a result of the fight with Christopher Coke. Though, they don't explain how Diddy was injury.** ================================ The head injury that landed Sean “Diddy” Combs in the hospital reportedly came from a fight with a fellow inmate, but not just any inmate. Diddy reportedly got a beatdown from notorious Jamaican drug lord Christopher “Dudus” Coke who has an entire Netflix episode devoted to him and his life of crime. The fight apparently broke out because Coke, along with several other inmates, were angry after prison officials conducted several raids following the NBC report exposing Diddy’s privileged prison life. This is a bizarre story that needs more context to fully understand. 7 year pro and defensive lineman Jordan Elliot is off the Tennessee Titans after the team says he went to his car in the player parking lot to retrieve a gun after an altercation with a teammate. Those who know Elliot say this is completely out of character for the husband and father of four, and “was a call for help more than a criminal act." However, the NFL has a strict firearm policy; personnel are not allowed to bring guns anywhere at league facilities. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ken McElroy terrorized an entire town and kept getting away with it. Until the day his luck ran out. He was gunned down in front of dozens of witnesses, and suddenly “nobody saw a thing.” In Broad Daylight author Harry MacLean joins Elisa Donovan to unpack this wild true crime story, how McElroy became untouchable, and why everyone stayed silent. A shocking crime out of Georgia where an elderly woman is accused of killing her 75-year-old ex-husband and his new, 40-year-old girlfriend. 76-year-old Grace Edge turned herself into police after officials say she shot and killed the two and shot and injured the girlfriend’s mother. The sheriff told reporters that Edge and her ex had an on again, off again relationship and that she was “not accepting” of the new situation. To add some perspective to this unusual headline: Less than half a percent of ALL murderers in this country are 75 years or older. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
An Idaho prosecutor is seeking the death penalty against a 23-year-old woman charged with murdering her twin toddlers in 2025. Andrea Shaw has pleaded not guilty, claiming her 18-month-old twins got sick and died after receiving flu shots and their scheduled vaccinations. Prosecutors maintain that an autopsy revealed symptoms consistent with smothering and said suffocation "is the only conceivable explanation" for their deaths. The judge in the Lindsay Clancy case issued a surprise ruling Wednesday, dismissing an attempt by Clancy’s attorney to investigate the lone holdout juror in her murder trial. Kevin Reddington had filed a motion requesting access to the juror’s initial questionnaire, an examination of his cellphone and for him to be questioned in court, but the judge refused to move forward with any investigation into Michael Desronvil. Clancy’s team still has a motion to dismiss murder charges against Clancy in play, citing double jeopardy. That will be decided at the next hearing in early November, where both sides are expected to agree on a potential new trial date. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
