SPECIAL: Motorbikes and Mental Health -- Tim talks to the amazing Mental Health Motorbike charity
Pint of PetrolShow Notes
Welcome to this special episode of A Pint of Petrol, where Tim catches up with Paul Oxborough, founder of Mental Health Motorbike, the charity that aims to put a Mental Health First Aider in every town and city across the UK. Tim has supported this charity since 2024, proudly wearing their brand on his shirts at every show and event he presents. As of 23 November 2025, the charity has trained more than 1,100 Mental Health First Aiders. This is a very special episode that talks openly about Mental Health and the issues surrounding it. Recorded at Motorcycle Live in November 2025.

This week, all the news has been about the new Jaguar Type 01 and Ian has told Tim not to watch or read anything about it... until now. So what do the boys make of the new Jaaaaag? Time to find out...
In this week's episode, Tim has got his hands on the brand, spanking new Vauxhall Astra Tourer, a car Ian has previously said he really likes the look of. So, will it live up to the hype or... not? Well, Tim seems to think it's all the car you could ever need, Ian on the other hand is less convinced. Let the bickering begin! Oh, and quick not... when the boys recorded this, they didn't have all of the information about the car and thought it was a top of the range "Ultimate" version... it wasn't, it was the base model "Griffin", which is £5,000 less than what they say it is in the episode. Also, the broken bit did fix itself... straight after they stopped recording. Typical!
In this episode of A Pint of Petrol, the boys are back in Tim's garage fixing the Calibra Turbo... again. This time, it's sprung a fuel leak... but neither car find out where from! To add to their woes, the battery has gone flat and jump pack decides to combust. Whilst on Tim's beloved Turbo. The boys also bicker over the latest news, including a new law which means you can't stand and drink in London, and the our least favourite orange man, who seems determined to implode the world, could have ruined classic cars forever. All positive then.
This week, Tim has gone to Ian's to fix - yep you guess it - another Land Rover. This one is Ian's mum's Disco and it's been in family since it was new. Many, many years have passed and now Ian is desperately trying to get it back on the road.In other news, Tim has been to the cinema to see one of his all time favourite films - the original Fast and the Furious - and he is going to (try to) convince Ian that is a great car film. Before it all went very, very silly, that is. Enjoy!
This week, the boys are ranting about the sheer amount of entitlement that is in the modern world. You see, Tim published a review of the new Mini John Cooper Works and, as you can expect from him, it was balanced, well produced and looked at both the good and the bad. However, it seems this video has upset the internet with many people taking to the comments. One of which thought it was appropriate to post "You are too fat and too short to be on YouTube". Wow. Meanwhile, Ian has had a similar experience with some smart nobody telling him that his Range Rover - which was bought new by his grandfather - was not an original colour and that "it's a shame it's not original". Riiiiiight... Why can't people just be nice?
