God is building the church, His dwelling place on earth. Just as He did with the Israelites in Exodus 35, God invites each one of us into this grand project, He equips all of us to bring a vital contribution, and He removes the barriers that hold us back from full, eager participation in His plans.

James 3 warns Christians about the danger of an untamed tongue. What are the ways of talking that Christians should avoid, and how can we use our words for God’s glory instead?
Luke preaches on the challenge that James gives us to live out our faith. The book of James makes it clear that real faith impacts the way we relate both to God and to others.
In an uncertain world, we naturally look for something secure to put our hope in, but everything around us can shift and fail. Psalm 121 asks the question, “Where can hope be found?” and points us to the Maker of heaven and earth, revealed to us in Jesus.
To be a Christian neighbour, we must hear God’s Word, do what it says, and examine ourselves closely in its mirror. And, like Jesus, we must learn to practise mercy more than we practise judgment — because mercy triumphs over judgment.
Sooner or later, every one of us will face trials in life that test our faith. God intends to use our trials to grow in us persevering faith and make us wholehearted followers of Jesus. In this process, James calls us to ask for God’s wisdom, trust in His goodness, and keep our eyes fixed on the eternal hope we have in Jesus.
