Before You Spiral, Ask These Six Questions

Holy Nourished

Show Notes

It's so easy to notice a symptom and immediately jump into problem-solving mode. Testing, expensive supplements, and intense protocols can be very tempting, but what if the first step is actually much simpler?

In this episode, I'm sharing the six foundational questions I ask anytime I notice a shift in how I'm feeling. Before you go down the rabbit hole, take a step back and ask yourself if your body has what it needs to thrive.

I talk about why chasing symptoms can keep your body stuck in a stress response and why coming back to the basics is often the most supportive place to start.

This episode is your reminder that healing doesn't always begin with doing more. It often begins with strengthening your foundation.

In this episode, I'm joined by Kate Pope, GAPS-certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, for a conversation about food, lifestyle, and the body's incredible capacity to heal. Kate shares her own experiences navigating healing, including rebuilding her son's gut after a C-section and learning how to recognize and work through "die-off" symptoms without pushing the body too far, too fast. We also talk about the connection between a mother's health and her baby's microbiome, why our family environments can influence the symptoms we experience, and how we can begin making health a normal part of the conversation in our homes.

In this episode we dig into the physiology behind being easily triggered: how under-fueling the body keeps us in a low-grade stress state, why chronic stress can make everyday drama feel normal, and how to recognize the pattern in yourself. We also talk about a compassionate approach to relating with people who are under nourished and over stressed.
