Summary
Monday Night Raw featured a significant title defense as Sami Zayn retained the WWE Championship against Javon Evans. The match saw an attempted cash-in from Penta, who was thwarted by Braun Breaker. Following the match, Breaker and Bronson Reed attacked both Penta and Evans. In the main event, Becky Lynch faced Women's World Champion Liv Morgan, winning by disqualification due to interference from the Judgment Day. Lynch was previously announced as the number one contender after Stephanie Vakir was deemed unfit to compete.
In other matches, Bayley triumphed over Lyra Valkyria in a no-disqualification bout, while Ethan Page and Big Cass secured a victory against Chad Gable and Dragon Lee. EO Sky managed to pin Raquel Rodriguez but was subsequently attacked by Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez.
In Japan, New Japan Pro Wrestling held the third night of the Best of the Super Junior Tag League, with notable victories in both Block A and Block B matches. Meanwhile, the wrestling community mourns the loss of Julio Barrera, known as Jumbo Beretta, who passed away at 59. Beretta had a career spanning from the 1980s to the 1990s, making contributions to various promotions and earning titles in the process.
