Show Notes
Look. Statistically, you saw the original movie. Statistically, you did not see the remake. Well, we watched both. Look, it's fine. The original. The new one sucks. Anyway here's the Moanas.
More from Once More With Feeling
Mariana and Gus watched what is normally considered one of the best films of all time, and then also one of the films of all time, and then they talked about them. And yes, technically, this could describe almost every episode of this podcast, but here I'm talking about Carrie.
Mariana and Gus are back from their unplanned hiatus...or maybe it's their alien imposters!?!?! After watching The Thing (1982), they don't know what or who to believe!! Though after watching The Thing (2011), they're pretty sure they're not cliched slasher/monster movie enough to be lying about this.
Mariana and Gus are joined by Chris Waves to watch the movie that basically spawned modern zombies. Some may argue it was actually Night of the Living Dead that did that, but those people are wrong. It was Dawn of the Dead. If those people ask you to prove it, ask them which movie inspired Dead Rising. Yeah, that's what I thought.
Mariana and Gus are joined by the inexorable Nadia from WomanCarryingMan to discuss Child's Play, a movie that, fun fact, made Gus' mom stop watching horror movies forever and which also, fun fact, made Gus think maybe horror movies aren't so bad. They also watched and discuss Child's Play, a movie which made Gus think maybe horror movies are that bad again.
Mariana and Gus watched the first and the reboot of the Witch Mountain series, and--wait, what? It's a series? There are FIVE Witch Mountain movies? There was almost a Witch Mountain TV show? What's going on? What universe am I in? IS IT BERENSTEIN OR BERENSTAIN?
