HISTORY OF THE WORLD PART ii, DAWN OF THE DOLPHINS, PERRY MASON S02, THE MANDALORIAN S03 | 2023.E09
TV Blackbox/TV BingeboxShow Notes
Comedy *AND* sport *AND* drama *AND* sci-fi? This shouldn't be allowed all in one podcast (should it?).
A sporting documentary on the newest team entering the NRL coupled with three sequels - what could go wrong? Molk has lots of opinions on this week's offerings and you may be surprised about what he thinks of one of the shows (spoilers: he was hotly anticipating it and...well, you'll just have to check out this ep).
Shows covered in this episode:
History of the World Part ii (8 eps), starring Mel Brooks, Wanda Sykes, Nick Kroll, Ike Barinholtz, Ronny Chieng, and literally everyone else in Hollywood - premieres Monday 6 March 6pm with double eps daily through Thursday on Disney+.
Dawn of the Dolphins (3 eps), featuring Wayne Bennett - premieres Monday 6 March and drops weekly on Stan.
Perry Mason season two (8 eps), starring Matthew Rhys, Juliet Rylance, Chris Chalk, Diarra Kilpatrick, and Hope Davis - premieres Tuesday 7 March 8:30pm on FOX SHOWCASE (and BINGE).
The Mandalorian season three (8 eps), starring Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Omid Abtahi, Amy Sedaris, and Katee Sackhoff - S03E01 available now and drops weekly on Wednesdays (S01/S02 all eps available now) on Disney+.

It indeed was a really big show - an immersive experience instead of buttoned-down sitdown presentation. Nine came out all guns blazing (just don't talk about radio or Karl Stefanovic) and made sure we knew they at least think they are "still the one".
It's a little bit late and we've all got stuff going on, but here's the highlights of BINGE's 2027 announcements and Molk's impression of them and the evening KAYO/Foxtel Upfront event. There's literally a couple of surprises and the rest you could guess yourself or the team at TV BLACKBOX have already published the announcements. Just go and watch HIGH COUNTRY season two. It's awesome.
In the first of the 2027 Upfront season podcast Molk casts his eye across the content schedule being offered, the quantity and volume (or lack thereof) of new programs coming, and the event itself.
With the 2026 Logies run and won, Steve Molk chats with Mark Humphries on their impressions about the event, the Top 70 Australian shows (as voted by the Australian public), Robert Irwin's tilt at hosting, the Hall of Fame inductees, and Sam Pang winning the Gold Logie. Always great to chat with Mark - hear him on ABC Sydney, or grab a ticket to Mark's Broadway Supper Club events! https://broadwaysupperclub.com.au/
Goodness gracious - two podcasts in two weeks? This is almost makes it a regular thing again. The problem is SO MUCH happened since the last ep that Molk had swimming around in his brain he just needed a chat with you, his fellow TV fanatics.
