That’s right kids…it’s finally happening! Lia and Lucy Block are in the garage for this week’s episode! They’re stopping by to talk about the highs and lows of Lia’s amazing 2026 ARA season and what the season taught them as a family and a race team!. Lia shares about her time in the F1 Academy, how important it was to have that experience and the impact it had on her as a driver. She also shares her goals and what she hopes to accomplish in the world of rally and the WRC. They talk about what’s in store for Block House Racing in 2027 and the exciting plans they have for the team. There’s even some talk about the experience of putting a then 14-year old Lia behind the wheel of the 1,400hp Hoonicorn for her season as driver for the “Hoonicorn vs the World” series of videos. And Scotto gets the latest on Lia’s Audi and the current state of that car. It’s a great conversation. We hope you enjoy it!
That’s right kids… the legend Jeff Zwart is in the garage! Jeff is an acclaimed photographer and filmmaker, race car driver, Pikes Peak Hillclimb veteran and all around rad dude! Jeff has shot major commercial spots for many of the automakers and produced ads that aired during Superbowls. Scotto and Jeff do a deep dive on driving at Pikes Peak and what it takes to conquer the mountain. They discuss the rise in popularity that Pikes is currently experiencing and how the iconic event can continue to grow. They talk about the state of modern car culture and Jeff shares his thoughts on what inspires him at this stage in his storied career. Jeff talks about his involvement with Luftgekult as creative director, how Luft has reestablished what car shows should be, his passion for air cooled Porsches (he likes water cooled too), and how being involved with Luft led to the launch of the Air/Water events as well. He even shares some wisdom and insight that he’s learned from his time as a creative in the automotive space. It’s a great conversation. We hope you enjoy it!
We’ve got the one and only Ron Zaras in the garage! Ron has an extensive background in rally racing in many forms. He’s a driver, has worked on rally race teams, is a huge ambassador of the sport and most importantly, he’s a fan himself. Scotto and Ron do a deep dive into all things rally racing. From the early days to how rally racing developed into an international motorsport, to the current state of rally in the US and where it may be headed in the future. They share some great stories of how they met and bonded over their love of rally racing and spent many years working on rally teams together. They talk about the tremendous influence Ken Block had on the growing popularity of rally racing over the years, how that was a major inspiration for the Gymkhana films and how that led to the development of the iconic Hoonicorn. They discuss their favorite drivers from their favorite eras. They also discuss what is holding rally back in its overall popularity in the US and how showcasing it at the X Games and various Rallycross events was a great start and how Ron’s new rally-focused brand Antilag is playing a part to promote the sport and culture. It’s a great conversation! Enjoy!
We’re happy to welcome Jonny Lieberman to the garage for this special episode! Jonny is a highly acclaimed writer and has worked for many notable publications including Autoblog, Jalopnik and Motor Trend. He has a truly unique perspective on the current state of automotive media and shares some great stories from his career in the industry. This week we’re happy to welcome Alex Choi, making what he tells us is his ‘real’ podcast début whilst also being the youngest guest we’ve ever had on the show. Despite being a hugely well-known streamer and content creator (you may have come across some of his more notorious escapades online), he’s rarely given interviews, until now. Alex tells Scotto about his journey into being a ‘stringer’ and the world of automotive social media that he’s inhabited for a decade, and they get into the challenges along the way: from his complicated youth right up to the present, reconciling all the things he’s seen and believe us – it’s a lot! As for regrets? Well, he’s certainly got a few! Here he is to tell us everything. Enjoy!
