071 - MAT KEREKES (CITIZEN)

This week on the MYAGE PODCAST, we're joined by Jay from 28 Days! If you grew up listening to Australian punk, hardcore, hip-hop and alternative music in the late '90s and early 2000s, chances are 28 Days were part of your soundtrack. From the explosive Australian punk scene to the crossover of punk rock and hip-hop, 28 Days carved out their own sound and became one of the defining bands of that era. We're talking music, memories and the world of Australian punk rock with Jay. Whether you've been a fan since the early days or you're discovering 28 Days for the first time, this one's worth checking out. ANGELO FREAKIN MOORE!!! We talk Fishbone, punk, funk, getting weird, staying weird, and what happens when you spend your life refusing to behave like a normal human being. Angelo has been making music, pissing off expectations and generally doing whatever the fuck he wants for decades — so naturally, we had a chat. It’s funny, it’s weird, it goes places, and at some point (pretty much straight away...) we definitely stopped pretending this was a serious podcast. Listen now, you beautiful degenerates. This week on the podcast, I’m joined by Kyle Soto from Seahaven. We chat about Kyle’s relationship to music, from rocking out on tables to Christian rap - to his first Australian Tour, and plenty of other stuff along the way. A great conversation with one of the voices behind one of the most interesting bands to come out of the scene

VIC BONDI is a hardcore/punk rock legend... So many bands, starting with Articles of Faith in the 80's all the way through to his latest project - 'VIC BONDI AND HIS ISSUES' - this man is the personification of a Lifer! His new EP is out on Alternative Tentacles - and its an absolute banger!
