Show Notes
In this episode, Kate Tracey and Alan McInally sit down with Leon Bailey for a relaxed and revealing conversation about his journey, his roots, and what Villa means to him.
Leon reflects on growing up in Kingston, where sport was everywhere, he explains how football ultimately found him. And despite becoming known for his explosive speed, Leon shares how he simply wasn’t the fastest by Jamaica’s famously high standards.
He opens up about the influence of his adopted father, the mindset that shaped him from a young age, and why being an ambassador for Jamaica and giving back to the community remains so important.
Leon also discusses his development at Bayer 04 Leverkusen, before reflecting on missing the Aston Villa dressing room and the genuine joy of being back among teammates and fans.
