Summary
A cat sitter expresses frustration over being paid only $70 for a night of looking after a wealthy family's cat, Luna. The sitter, who expected a much higher payment, contemplates taking advantage of the situation by stealing a premium Bluetooth speaker belonging to the cat's owners. Throughout the evening, the sitter struggles to follow the pet care rules set by the owners, which include specific instructions for feeding and providing water based on the cat's meows.
As the night progresses, the sitter becomes increasingly annoyed with Luna's behavior and the perceived stinginess of the owners. Conversations with a friend reveal plans to sell the speaker for a profit, and the sitter rationalizes the theft as a form of compensation for the low pay. The situation escalates as the sitter tries to balance caring for Luna while plotting to take the speaker, highlighting the tension between the desire for quick cash and the responsibilities of pet sitting.
