Patreon.com/RememberTheGame And you can check out Captain N's Retrotopia Podcast here: https://retrotopiapodcast.podbean.com/ There's not a more prestigious title in the world of RTG than winner of the Pre-March Madness Patreon Poll Tournament Extravaganza, and this week we're talking about our latest champion: Secret of Evermore. Evermore is an action RPG on the SNES, developed by Squaresoft and quite obviously using the Secret of Mana engine. You play as a boy and his dog, travelling through weird worlds and trying to find your way back home. The concept of the game is fantastic, and it does a lot of stuff well, but I don't know if it really does anything great. And SNES RPGs have a lot of great in them. Captain N of the Retrotopia podcast joins me this week to break down the world of Evermore, and we spent over an hour diving into the seedy (secret) underbelly of the world of Evermore. And before we get save our dog, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone asks if gaming has become a luxury hobby that just isn't accessible to everyone. If I could go back to RTG #1, what advice would I give myself? And is there a series I slept on for way too long?? Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 SNES RPGs: The 7th Saga, The Illusion of Gaia, and Lufia II. Tyler's back to help me review the third (and best) game in the OG Gears trilogy: Gears of War 3. And before we start tearing this up (see what I did there?), I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week we talk about people that ruin Monopoly with house rules. Can Stage Tour revive couch co-op? And what does Adam think of Star Wars: Galactic Racer? Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 "3rd games": Halo 3, Bioshock: Infinite, and Mass Effect 3. We have some big RTGs in the oven right now, but to tide you over until they're finished, here's my review of one of th ebest games of 2026: Resident Evil Requiem. Play this game!! I've been wanting to try some mini episodes for years, and the new NHL Season just started this week, so I figured it was as good of time as any. For a mini debut I'm reminiscing about one of my favourite childhood games: NHL 97 for the SNES! Patreon.com/RememberTheGame I can't believe it's happening. We're finally, FINALLY, talking Oblivion. I've been chipping away at this behemoth for 9 months and I'm ready to spill my guts. I'll warn you right now, if you're looking for a deep dive into The Elder Scrolls, this isn't the show for you. I've never played this game before, so I dropped over 40 hours into a run, tried to do everything, realized it was impossible, saved the world, and now I want to both praise and vent about this game at the same time. I think I like it more than Skyrim, but boy there were a couple things that drove me insane (looking at YOU, vampirism!) My fellow vampire, Mark McCue, joins me this week. He just finished his first playthrough of Oblivion as well, and we're both excited to sound off about our favourite quests, points int he storm, items, and the debuts (aside from craving blood) that drove us crazy. I enjoyed this episode quite a bit and I hope y'all enjoy listening to a pair of noobs rant about this massive game as much as we did ranting about it. And before we close some portals, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone asks if gaming media has gotten too negative? What games have disappointed me the most in recent memory? And with everyone talking about Wolverine, what superhero needs their own game next?? Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 Bethesda games: Morrowind, Starfield, and Fallout 3. We'll be back with another RTG next week, but to get you through your workday here's a freebie out of our Patreon archives - my (spoiler-free) review of the winner of the 2025 Molly for Game of the Year (both by community vote and my personal pick),Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
