Show Notes
Sam has had huge success generating bookings through Instagram, thanks to the time and effort he puts into creating engaging reels from his couples’ wedding days. We break down what goes into that content, why it works, and how he’s been able to turn short-form videos into a genuine source of enquiries and bookings.
But while it might be the short-form content that gets couples through the door, it’s Sam’s incredible feature films that really blow them away.
We dive into the intricate process behind crafting his 15-minute-plus films, from piecing together the story and choosing the right moments, to creating something that feels considered, emotional and completely unique to each couple.

More from Coda Podcast - For Wedding Filmmakers
What if growing your wedding film business doesn’t actually mean shooting more weddings?
Chris has been in the wedding industry for over 20 years and is now known for filming extravagant, planner-led weddings all over the world.
Mark realised pretty early on in his career that there was a ceiling on what he could charge within his local market. So rather than accepting that limitation, he made a conscious effort to look further afield.
Despite already running a highly successful wedding film business, Sean made the brave decision to completely overhaul both his brand and his shooting style, creating films that feel much more connected to the filmmaker he actually wants to be.
Known for his high-energy films, Alfie from Clique Visuals breaks down how he creates an environment on a wedding day that gives couples the freedom to really be themselves. We talk about how that approach not only creates brilliant moments for him to capture, but also helps make sure his couples have the best possible experience on the day.
