What if the Enneagram is more than just a personality test?
In this episode of The Berean Files, we investigate the controversial origins, hidden influences, and spiritual ideas connected to the Enneagram movement. From the occult teachings of Gurdjieff and the mystical philosophy of Oscar Ichazo, to connections with New Age spirituality, contemplative mysticism, “Christ Consciousness,” the Divine Feminine, Kabbalah, Sufi mysticism, The Nine, and even Temple of Set influences — we follow the rabbit trail many Christians never knew existed.
How did something marketed as harmless self-discovery become so deeply embedded in churches, leadership conferences, discipleship programs, and Christian culture?
Is the Enneagram simply misunderstood? Or has a spiritual Trojan horse quietly entered the church?
We break down the history, the claims, the symbolism, and the theology — separating truth from hype while testing everything against Scripture and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This episode is not about attacking people who use the Enneagram. It’s about discernment, spiritual influence, and asking whether every teaching pointing inward is truly leading people toward Christ.
