Show Notes
Justin here! I've been a fan of Artist/Writer/Filmmaker Dave Baker since I stumbled on his and Nicole Goux's booth at the Toronto Comics Arts Festival, so it was my pleasure to talk to Dave about his and Nicole's new book, PUNK'N HEADS, a comic about the struggle of creativity, the hell of living in LA, and the joy of wearing giant pumpkin heads while rocking out with someone you just might love.
Even if you're not interested in comics... YOU MUST LISTEN TO THIS EPISODE! We talk about the official rules for writing Godzilla comics (which Dave has done!), what makes a comic "cinematic", and the quixotic journey of trying to write and draw the Finnegan's Wake of comics - which Dave did with MARY TYLER MOOREHAWK.

Imagine going through life as the world's greatest Jerry Lewis impersonator. That was life for the late, great Sammy Petrillo. Today, Sammy Petrillo is best known for starring in Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla (1952), a legendary Martin & Lewis rip-off movie... but there's so much more to his story. On this special interview episode, Will talks to Dave Abramson, author of the new book YOUR TIME IS NOW: THE SAMMY PETRILLO STORY, about one of the strangest careers in showbiz history.
