One of the best reasons to grow your own food or to move out to the suburbs or even to rural locations is to lower your cost of living. With so many of us having higher bills than ever before, with prices of food continuing to rise, there is a need to change our spending habits and embrace making more. Today Robyn and I chat through what's been happening this last month while we have been gone and also share some of the ways we reduce our own cost of living and the choices in our lives that help us be frugal.
We started a gardening and homesteading podcast. We are excited to chat through great topics about gardening and homesteading. Join us weekly for this great garden podcast, where we share stories, tips and our own experiences gardening with all the variety of methods out there. For all of you searching for great homestead podcasts and Australian garden podcasts this great collaboration between @thenaturepatch Robyn, and Diane from @dianeandsamson is for you. We are Aussie homesteaders and Aussie gardeners passionate about sharing our mistakes, lessons and inspiration to encourage others to just grow. The earthly roots podcast is an extension of our mission to live off the land, and use our own two hands to make the world and our lives a better place. A garden and homestead podcast that takes known and new topics and approaches them from two perspectives, the scientific side and the beginner gardener side.

Imposter syndrome in the garden and on the homestead is not a fun thing to experience. With social media often glamourising every aspect of day to day life, it can feel disheartening and like you're not doing enough. We've been feeling a little like this lately, particularly with sharing our gardens on Youtube and not feeling like we have much to share, that we should be sharing more, when in reality the garden goes through ebs and flows and slow periods where not a lot happens. In these times, it's fine to not feel the pressure to post on social media or meet 'expectations' that you've created in your mind, but take it slow, surround yourself with good people and set manageable tasks.
