#112 - 'You Know It Makes Sense!'

A recent incident in Forbes has raised concerns about vehicle security after a local resident discovered that their car had been rifled through and a valuable air compressor stolen. The owner, who had left the car unlocked overnight, found that thieves had not only accessed the vehicle but had also opened the garage door using the garage door clicker they had taken. Fortunately, no other items were missing, including a laptop that was left in another vehicle.

The incident has prompted a reminder about the importance of securing vehicles and belongings, especially in areas where vehicle break-ins are known to occur. The owner expressed frustration over the theft, particularly as it involved a trusted air compressor that had served them well for years. This event highlights the ongoing issue of property crime in the region, with residents urged to remain vigilant and take precautions to protect their belongings.

In related news, a local farmer shared a humorous yet frustrating experience involving a hay carting mishap. After deciding to stack four bales high instead of the usual three, the farmer lost control of the trailer while navigating a bend on an internal farm road, resulting in a spill of hay bales across the roadway. Thankfully, no injuries occurred, but the incident required significant cleanup and highlighted the challenges of farm operations during the busy hay season.

These stories serve as a reminder of the everyday challenges faced by residents in rural areas, from securing property to managing agricultural tasks.
