Sens Spotlight #188 | Sens Drop Road Trip Opener & Can They Bounce Back in LA?

The Ottawa Senators faced off against the Vegas Golden Knights in Las Vegas, where they fell short despite a strong performance. The game showcased Ottawa's potential, particularly in the first half, where they created numerous scoring opportunities but struggled to capitalize. Aiden Hill's standout goaltending for Vegas proved pivotal, as he made several key saves that could have altered the game's outcome, including a critical stop on Tim Stutzler.

Both teams displayed a competitive spirit, but Ottawa's inability to clear the crease and convert chances ultimately cost them. The Senators' Jonas Johansson performed admirably in goal, giving the team a chance to win, but the lack of offensive support from key players raised concerns. With injuries to Warren Fogle and uncertainty around other players, Ottawa's depth is being tested as they prepare for their next matchup against the Los Angeles Kings.

Looking ahead, Ottawa needs to tighten its defensive play and find ways to support Stutzler, who is increasingly becoming a focal point for opposing teams. The Senators aim to build on the positives from their recent games while addressing their scoring issues as they navigate a challenging division.

On this episode of The Sick Podcast, Zakary Mercier joins Pierre McGuire to discuss the Ottawa Senators lost in Vegas, could Chabot be back Thursday, and much more!
