Show Notes
After a long break, Lyndon returns with another in the One-On-Series and a lengthy chat with Rob Vera, a familiar name to most Blues, particularly those who listen to The Blue Room where he is a regular guest and host.
They chat about Rob's Everton back story before getting into the state of the Toffees as the season pauses for a long international break, both on and off the pitch. They discuss the Blues' midfield in particular, the chances being afforded to young players this season and what might happen if Vitalii Mykolenko is injured.
They then finish up with a quick-fire round of questions ranging from VAR and which club Rob would support if there were no Everton to his favourite EFC players past and present. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
More from The Evertonia Podcast: Talking Everton
Lyndon chats with Paul, the author of the 2021 book, The Forgotten Champions, 1986/87: Everton's Last Title about a phenomenal achievement by Howard Kendall and his players that has largely gone unheralded.
The guys are back to review Everton's 2-0 home defeat to Chelsea and what was, in particular, a desperately poor second half. The discussion centres on David Moyes's team selection, substitutions and refusal to use the more exciting and creative elements of his squad. And And where are the goals going to come from if Thierno Barry isn't scoring them?
Paul Traill returns to the podcast as the guys review the frustrating 2-2 draw at Hull City and David Moyes's safety-first team selection that installed Jarrad Branthwaite as an awkward left-back and retained Brennan Johnson wide on the right.
Andy, Adam and Lyndon return along with the Premier League after a three-week hiatus to preview Everton's trip to Hull on Sunday. Is it a case of same team again for David Moyes (the fitness of Vitalii Mykolenko permitting) and who will make way for Christian Nørgaard when he fully fit and a regular starter?
The guys look back at Everton's narrow 1-0 win over Ipswich that has them in 7th place in the Premier League and through in Carabao Cup heading into the international break. They discuss the fact that the Toffees are unbeaten despite not having played especially well while analysing some of the individual performances.
