It's the spooky season, and we're taking a deeply unpleasant look into the centuries-old battle between the Lore, the Lykae, and the Valkyries with "A Hunger Like No Other", Book 1 of Kressley Cole's dark fantasy "romance" trilogy. Is smelling a person a reliable way to determine your soulmate? How does a 1,200-year-old incel understand the finer points of online shopping, but doesn't know how to drive a car? Is there anything even remotely resembling consent in the book (spoiler: no)? Buckle up, club. This one is a doozy.
