KunstlerCast - Conversations: Converging Catastrophes of the 21st Century

Show Notes

"Eugyppius" is a former academic who blogs about the pandemic aftermath and the pathological politics of modern Germany. He spent much of his life abroad and over a decade in American universities as a grad student and a teacher. He writes in English on Substack. He is very careful about revealing more of his identity given the extreme censorship and cancellation action in his country these days. You can find him at Eugyppius.com. Edward Tenner's new book is Why the Hindenburg Had a Smoking Lounge, a witty and erudite followup to his bestseller, Why Things Bite Back about the peculiar intersection between technology, human nature, and the revenge of unintended consequences. He has had a distinguished academic career in history at Princeton, Harvard, and the University of Chicago and was science acquisition editor at Princeton University Press, where he published, among other books, Richard Feynman's best-seller, QED. Alan Berman is the creator of the Psychohistory Prediction Engine: an open-source map connecting the people, money, and machinery that run things in our world. The site is self-funded with no institutional backers, and free for public use. Berman's essays can be found on Medium / X for free and act as entry points to explore the Engine. I only encountered Alan for the first time a few weeks ago. He's young, in his 30s, and has had an interesting background in martial arts training (the gym he owned was run out of business by the Covid Lockdowns), as well as radio production and a spell as a standup comedian. Get to know him. . . I plan to get him back on later this year. His website is called Moketchups.com. ("Moketchups" is a gag by standup comedian Dave Attell.) You can find the Psychohistory Prediction Engine there. The KunstlerCast theme music is the beautiful Two Rivers Waltz written and performed by Larry Unger

Please take the time to visit the Brownstone Institute's excellent website and its stable of fine writers.
