Joel's in the drivers seat this week, toot toot! He brings us into the world of hand painted posters, and movies we didn't know needed to be remade with a twist.
This week we let SJ take the wheel, literally. It's a mystery episode, so we have no idea whats coming. Who would have thought we would end up talking about cars, but don't worry it's not really about cars.
On the week of the 30th anniversary of Pokemon (as if we planned it, we didn't) Steph and Joel jump into to the world of Pokemon trading cards. It's a million dollar industry and with that comes fraud fraud fraud. Everyone's trying to make it rich, and with these tiny little artworks you can fit in your pocket, there's no need for a heist, just a gullible audience and an excellent printer. So sit back and enjoy this weeks episode and find out who's Joels favourite Pokemon is. Come follow us on all the apps @framedthepod @joeldavid_b @cheersthanxalot
This week we are back on the couch changing location location location again. This week Joel jumps on the glamazonian express and takes us to Hollywood. Joel tells us the story of Carl Rinsch, and the unfinished Netflix sci-fi that cost them over $11 million with nothing to show for it. To get yourself out of a sticky situation would you try and double your money on doge coin, or go on a shopping spree? Or maybe both? Tune in to see what Carl decided to do. This week Steph takes the wheel with an unsolved art heist involving a white van, more than 50 stolen artworks and a museum with absolutely no security. (what's new?) We head to Sarasota, Florida in 1969 and the Museum of the Cross, created by artist and illustrator Ben Stoll. The museum was home to 15 huge Stations of the Cross paintings. Then one night, four thieves broke in what happens next? Well you'll have to listen to find out. Was it an inside job? A wealthy collector? A little skittish priest?
