3 Nephi 27–4 Nephi | October 21–27 | Scripture Study Insights | A Come Follow Me Resource
Scripture Central: LDS Come Follow Me & Church HistorySummary
Marketers are increasingly concerned about the effectiveness of their ad campaigns, with many reporting that high dashboard metrics do not translate into actual sales. This phenomenon, termed "bullspend," highlights the disconnect between impressive ad impressions and tangible revenue. The discussion emphasizes the need for marketers to focus on results that matter, rather than just metrics that look good on paper.
In a spiritual context, the conversation shifts to a deep exploration of the teachings found in the Book of Mormon, specifically in 3rd Nephi. The focus is on the Savior's ministry among the Nephites and Lamanites, culminating in the establishment of His church. The importance of taking upon oneself the name of Christ is emphasized, illustrating that both individuals and the collective church must embody this name through their actions and beliefs.
The dialogue further delves into the definitions of the church, the gospel, and the doctrine of Christ, stressing that true membership requires more than just a title; it necessitates a commitment to live according to Christ's teachings. The conversation concludes with a call to action for individuals to actively participate in building the kingdom of God, emphasizing that everyone has a role in fostering a community that reflects the principles of the gospel.

The Day of Atonement, or Yom Kippur, is the most holy and solemn day of the Jewish calendar. It is the only day when the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies, the most sacred place within the Tabernacle and ancient temples. It was the only day when the high priest reconciled Israel with God and symbolically brought them back into the presence of the Lord. No other day, and no other ancient ritual comes closer to the full meaning and purpose of the atonement of Jesus Christ.Uploaded 08-10-19Chapters0:00 – Introduction to Yom Kippur0:42 – The Jewish Fall Festivals or Holy Days1:43 – Washing and Clothing of the High Priest2:34 – Casting Lots for the Scapegoat2:53 – Sacrifice of the Bull3:13 – Burning Incense in the Holy of Holies3:36 – Sprinkling the Blood of the Bull in the Holy of Holies4:01 – Sacrifice of the Goat5:11 – The Scapegoat is Released into the Wilderness6:29 – Symbolism of the Day of Atonement7:14 – Connection to Jesus Christ in Gethsemane7:59 – The Day of Atonement and Jesus ChristSign up for email notifications for new videos here: https://bit.ly/2uV4vloFor more videos on the Life of Christ: https://bit.ly/2FgnMlSFor the text of this video: http://www.redeemerofisrael.org/2019/10/understanding-day-of-atonement.htmlSpecial thanks to:Jason, Marcus, and Cody for their roles as priests and high priestsThe Farm at Gardner Village for the use of their goats and cowIf you would like to help translate the subtitles visit: http://www.youtube.com/timedtext_video?v=4UYT-0AmlnA&ref=share© 2019 Daniel Smith, Messages of Christ YouTube ChannelNo portion of this video may be reproduced, re-uploaded, or copied without prior permission. The products (services) offered by Messages of Christ are neither made, provided, approved nor endorsed by Intellectual Reserve, Inc. or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
