Newborn sleep & the fourth trimester, will they ever sleep alone?!
The Gentle Sleep Podcast: Holistic Baby Sleep ChatsShow Notes
In this episode we unpack some of the CRAZY advice my follower's have been given their newborn's sleep, and answer some of the questions many first time parents seem to have: Can your newborn be too attached? Have you created a 'rod for your own back'? Are there 'bad' sleep habits? Is it your fault that your baby seems to HATE the cot and will only sleep on you? Do you need to be stuck in the dark or nap trapped all day? Come with us as we unpack what biologically normal newborn sleep can look like in the fourth trimester as well as as some simple strategies for surviving the fourth trimester!
During the episode, we talk about Dr. Gordon Neufeld's six sequential stages of attachment, which you can read more about on his website . Dr Neufeld and Gabor Mate have also authored a book on this topic - 'Hold On To Your Kids' by Gabor Mate & Dr Gordon Neufeld
