🛠️ The "Idol Audit" Checklist If you're wondering if something has become an idol, ask yourself these three questions:

The Thought Test: Where does my mind wander when I’m bored or in prayer?

The Guidance Test: Do I check my phone (or friends/Google) for answers before I talk to God?

The Comfort Test: Where do I turn first when I’m stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed?

Making friends is hard, especially if talking to people you don’t know terrifies you. Coach Jamie knows that feeling well. In this episode, she shares how one simple nudge from the Holy Spirit pulled her out of her comfort zone, and how it can do the same for you. We look at three friendships from the Bible that changed lives: Mary and Elizabeth (a friend who cheers you on when you’re walking toward Jesus), Ruth and Naomi (a friend who stays when there’s nothing in it for her), and Barnabas and Paul (a friend who takes a chance on someone nobody else will). Then Coach Jamie walks you through the CARE method she still uses today: Connect, Ask questions, Relate, and Encourage, with two real-life examples from youth group and homeschool co-op. This week’s challenge: CARE about someone new, then tell us how it went in the Spotify comments or email [email protected]. Scriptures: Luke 1:39–45 | Ruth 1:16 | Acts 9:26–27 | Proverbs 18:24 | Luke 6:31 Only 2 days left! The Abundant Life Collective closes Tuesday, October 20.
