What happens when lifelong petrolheads ride an electric motorcycle for the first time?
In this episode of the JUSTRIDE Podcast, we sit down with Paul Cummings — CEO of Avenra — to talk about the future of motorcycling, electric bikes, rider safety, and the technology that could completely change the industry.
Before recording the podcast, we took the Avenra Evo out for a ride… and honestly, we didn’t expect it to feel like this.
But this isn’t just another electric motorcycle.
Avenra is developing “Halo” — an advanced rider safety system designed to detect hazards, monitor surrounding vehicles, and even contact emergency services automatically after a crash.
Whether you love EVs, hate them, or are somewhere in the middle… this conversation matters.
🏍️ In This Episode - Riding an electric motorcycle for the first time - 0–60 in under 4 seconds - Why the bike can legally be ridden on a CBT - The truth about EV motorcycle range anxiety - Building a UK electric motorcycle brand from scratch - Halo rider safety technology explained - Airbag jackets as standard - The future of electric motorcycles - Why riders are resistant to EVs

What happens when someone who once struggled with severe anxiety decides to get on a motorcycle and just keep going? In this episode of the JUSTRIDE Podcast, we're joined by motorcycle traveller, reviewer and content creator Jade Rides. Jade has ridden motorcycles across 22 countries, including an epic solo journey through 19 countries to Georgia and back. But, as we discover, the reason that adventure started wasn't quite what you'd expect… “It was completely out of spite.” 😂 We talk about how motorcycling helped Jade deal with anxiety and build confidence, travelling alone across Europe, tackling the Stella Alpina, riding the Wild Atlantic Way and Pyrenees, and why sometimes the best approach to motorcycle travel is to stop overplanning and just go. Jade also tells us the incredible story of finding a tiny puppy at the side of the road in Kosovo, putting her in a tank bag and eventually bringing not one — but TWO — rescue dogs home. We also get into: 🏍️ Going from a Suzuki VanVan to riding across 22 countries 🌍 Solo motorcycle travel and overcoming anxiety 🐶 Rescuing Lucky and Max while travelling 🏁 Riding the Norton Manx R on track 🇮🇸 Testing the new Norton Atlas in Iceland 🎥 The reality of becoming a motorcycle content creator 💛 Jade and Street Twin Kim's work with Endo Riders 🇳🇵 Plans for a future women's motorcycle trip to Nepal ⚡ The future of motorcycling, electric bikes and emerging manufacturers ⛺ Why Jade thinks some motorcycle-specific camping gear is… “crap” It's funny, open and at times incredibly personal and one of those conversations that reminds you just how much motorcycling can change someone's life. CFMOTO has quickly become one of the most talked-about motorcycle brands in the UK but what’s really behind that growth?
Just three years ago, Anna Maria Gilbert — better known as Footpegs — had never ridden a motorcycle. Eight months after getting into riding she was already discovering the world of off-road, and now she's preparing for her biggest challenge yet: a multi-day rally raid across Morocco.
