Saturday 12 September 2026 Prayer During the Day for Saturday in Ordinary Time
Time To Pray: Common Worship Day and Night PrayerSummary
The transcript features a series of prayers and readings that emphasize themes of divine love, faithfulness, and the promise of resurrection. It opens with a plea for God's assistance and a recognition of His enduring kindness, followed by expressions of gratitude for His sacrifices and the hope of salvation through Jesus Christ.
A reading from the Gospel of John recounts the story of Lazarus, highlighting Martha's encounter with Jesus after her brother's death. Jesus reassures her of the resurrection, declaring Himself as "the resurrection and the life," which underscores the central Christian belief in eternal life through faith in Him.
The prayers extend to various petitions, including calls for peace among nations, support for public officials, and healing for those in need. The session concludes with a communal prayer, invoking God's presence in all aspects of life and a recitation of the Lord's Prayer, reinforcing the themes of faith and reliance on divine guidance.
