The Book That Comes Back: Children Mapped It First

The Book That Comes Back: Children Mapped It First

A man finds a journal in a dead kitchen, every light bulb broken, knowing its words are wrong. Weeks before any adult, children discovered a portal in Virginia woodland, mapped its rules, and returned with copies of A Tale of Two Cities that were identical, unpurchased, and contained unsettlingly altered text. What did the children find on the other side that made a familiar book so disturbing?

In this episode, we explore the unsettling discovery of a portal by children who systematically tested its properties and brought back strange artifacts. We delve into the experience of an analytical adult who investigates the portal and the eerie, empty suburb it leads to, where the atmosphere itself seems to have ceased circulating.

Case: The Virginia Woodland Portal Location: Virginia woodland, past the old Dodson lot Portal Shape: Irregular oval, roughly ten feet tall First Artifact: Copies of A Tale of Two Cities Anomaly: Text in books was identical but altered

- The portal appears to close or shift at night and opens to a different destination each morning. - Children ranging from young enough to be losing teeth to 18 years old discovered and tested the portal. - A 13-year-old boy named Thomas had already crossed the portal alone before the adult arrived. - The books found were identical copies of A Tale of Two Cities with the same words arranged in a wrong order. - The suburb on the other side of the portal was intact, with cars and mowed lawns, but devoid of any living beings.
