Awaken the nations Whatever race is You see color I see my brother I see my sister I see someone that’s struggling You see someone that’s different And start to judge them I see connections I see diversity You see complection You see a collection I see a weapon Remove it completely That’s when I see protection
I see a nation that’s divided More than ever I close my eyes and I see better Cause what I’m seeing now Is something I’m not proud of I want more for the world I’m just trying to figure out how to get it How can I impact With my visions I feel limited I feel restrained How can I break the chains How can I play their game And break the rules And create stories At the same time It’s game time How can I change minds How can combined Your opinion with mine How can I become a better listener How can I hear your opinion and not judge you How can we come together and fix it How can I scale this vision How can I help my family How can we grow How can I understand that I don’t have all the answers Without settling for thinking I’ve done enough
