Tales of the Texas Rangers | Old Time RadioShow Notes
Old Time Retro Radio presents “Quicksilver,” episode 5 of Tales of the Texas Rangers, originally broadcast on NBC on August 5, 1950. Joel McCrea stars as Ranger Jace Pearson in this early Saturday-night series installment, produced and directed by Stacy Keach Sr.
On a dark night in 1947, a devastating crime at the isolated Stockholm Ranch in Carson County leaves Pearson with few answers. As he examines the sparse rural crime scene, a seemingly unpromising clue involving hog feed becomes central to his patient investigation.
Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
