Episode 31: we react to metal bands YOU submitted — deathcore from the Philippines, post-metal from Sweden, black/death metal inspired by the Salem witch trials, and more. Full honest reactions, no scripts. I am joined by a co- host Luke Forton- singer from Reinventing Yesterday
This episode is a straight-up mailbag of submissions from bands across the globe who sent us their music for a reaction, and the range is wild. We start with Endure the Exile, an independent deathcore band from the Philippines, reacting to their new single "False Prophet." Then we jump to Dimwind, an alternative post-metal / progressive sludge trio from Sweden — their upcoming album "The Carrion Waltz" was written in the aftermath of a personal cancer battle, and it hits different once you know that. We also cover This Hollow Reality, a relaunched melodic metalcore project featuring scream vocalist Thom Gardner (Pulse, Poltergeist) on their new single "Reach," and Antiquus Infestus, a black/death metal band with a full concept album built around the Salem witch trials and religious fanaticism — this one's dense, dark, and worth the deep dive.\
Rounding it out: Endurus, a death/groove four-piece out of Tampa, Florida with their new video "Slambogini"; MetalkrüsA, a Spanish heavy metal band channeling serious Black Sabbath energy on "Rise of the Ancient One"; Charnel Crown, bringing raw new material straight from the studio; and L.M.I., a sludgy punk/hardcore trio from the Philly area dropping their fifth EP "V" after over a decade as a touring band. If you're a band and want us to react to your music, the submission info is in the links below — we go through every one.
