The Rick Burgess Show | 10/23/26 | Ep. 439

LeBron James shows just how ungrateful, narcissistic, and immature he is by working on his golf swing during the singing of the national anthem. The country that made him a billionaire can't be that bad. What a terrible look and message to send to the black youth who idolize the professional basketball player. Speaking of immature, Producer Speedy lets Greg slap him while we are live on the air. Actor Tom Skerritt passes away. World Series Game 1 happens tonight. New Jersey Mayor Matthew Bianchini (R) runs toward a complaining resident and has to be restrained.

Beavers have gotten a bad reputation as a pest or nuisance. New studies call for the beaver to be celebrated as one of the planet's most vital "keystone species" and ecosystem engineers. Trump is asked about his presidential endorsement for the 2028 election and things get awkward because JD Vance is standing right behind him. We can watch the clip only three or four times. The Tennessee Titans head coach handles a terrible situation with grace after a player has to be kicked off the team for brandishing a firearm. Big Oak Ranch joins us to share a message of hope in Christ as it continues its mission to help foster kids across the state and country. We preview the big college football matchups happening this weekend. And we all agree that parents shouldn't kiss their kids on the lips.

That’s the reality when a shadow government of far-left NGOs and national associations quietly runs the bureaucracy underneath—boards, commissions, and agencies that keep growing no matter who you elect. The State Leadership Initiative is ending that. State Leadership partnered with Florida’s DeSantis Administration to produce the only playbook on how to DOGE a state. Now we’re launching the Campaign to DOGE your State. The election is less than two weeks away. After that, the governing begins. Tell your governor you want real cuts, real efficiency, and a government that matches the values of the people who live there!
