Breaking Free: The Journey to Emotional Liberation in 3 Stages
Language of Life - Nonviolent Communication PodcastShow Notes
We take you on a journey through the concept of taking responsibility for your feelings, as outlined in NVC. We'll walk you through the three stages of emotional development—starting with "emotional slavery," where you might feel burdened by others' emotions. Then, we'll dive into the "obnoxious stage," where you start to push back, and finally reach "emotional liberation," where you learn to fully own your feelings without putting that weight on others. By sharing our personal experiences, we aim to help you better understand how these stages play out in real life and highlight the importance of recognizing your needs and practicing empathy in your relationships.
