When not blogging, he invests is time in various athletic pursuits and building his fitness brand GymWithMK. Mariel was born in Kinshasa, Congo, grew up in Dallas, Texas, and became a grown-up in Washington, DC. Mariel now resides in Los Angeles, CA.
