End-of-Year Lock-In — How I’m Staying Consistent with Health + Fitness Goals (Even During the Holidays)

BRB with Joelle | Lifestyle & Wellness for Women in their 30s

Show Notes

In this episode, I’m sharing how I’m locking in my health and fitness goals as we head into the final stretch of the year — because this season doesn’t have to be a total free-for-all (or a stress spiral!). I talk through what it looks like to live in sync with this season of life instead of trying to force something extreme or unsustainable — and how I’m approaching Q4 with a mindset of steadiness, not burnout. Here’s what I cover:

My go-to mindset shift for finishing the year strong (but not frantic)

Why I’m following the plan, not my feelings

What I’m focusing on daily: hydration, nutrition awareness, and consistent movement

How I’m planning for social events and indulgences without spiraling

Simple ways I’m tracking progress and adjusting as I go

The role of uplifting content, supportive routines, and communities — plus a few recs!

If you’ve ever felt like the end of the year is just “survival mode” — this episode is your reminder that you can still honor your body, take care of yourself, and feel really good going into a new year. It's been a while, so I'm sharing a little life update! In this episode, I catch you up on what life has looked like over the past few months, including:

In this episode, I’m sitting down for a real-life Q1 update, because the first few months of this year did not go how I expected, but looking back now, I can see how everything kind of unfolded the way it was supposed to. January was really quiet for my podcast production business, and for the first time in a long time, I started seriously thinking about working outside the house again after being self-employed for 13–14 years. I applied for a job I really wanted and didn’t get it, which was disappointing at the time… but as you’ll hear in this episode, that ended up redirecting me in a way I couldn’t have planned. February brought a bit of a health scare when I found a lump and had to go through a mammogram, ultrasound, and biopsy. Thankfully everything came back benign after they drained fluid, but that whole experience definitely makes you pause and think about life a little differently. Around that same time, I also took about a 40-day break from scrolling and social media apps, and honestly, that might have been one of the most impactful things I did this year. It really clarified for me how much I enjoy the physical world — my town, my routines, my family, real conversations — and how I don’t want to live my life primarily online. Then in March, through a friend connection, I ended up interviewing for a job, got an offer, and started in late March. I’m still working with my three long-term podcast clients, but this new chapter has been really grounding and different in a good way. In this episode I also talk about:

This is one of the most honest episodes I’ve recorded in a while. I sat down and hit “record” not with a plan, but with a full heart and an in-between season I know so many of us find ourselves in. If you’ve ever felt stuck, unclear, or like your ambition has nowhere to go right now this one’s for you. In this episode, I’m sharing what I’m doing when I don’t have a clear path forward. We talk about:

In this episode, I’m sharing some of the small but powerful shifts that have helped our family eat healthier — without turning meals into a battle or making a million changes at once. As a certified nutritionist (and busy mom), I get how overwhelming it can feel to overhaul your family’s eating habits. So instead, I’m walking you through the mindset shifts and simple strategies I use to keep things realistic and sustainable — especially during busy seasons. We chat about:
