Show Notes

Does getting everyone to the table for family dinner feel less like a goal and more like a scheduling puzzle with no solution?

I hear ya. Sports seasons, work schedules, and teenagers with lives of their own make evenings complicated.

In this episode, I share how I think about weeknight meals during busy seasons, and why I stopped feeling guilty about it.

You'll hear:

🔸 Why family dinner guilt shows up for so many moms, even when everyone is getting fed

🔸 What I learned from watching my own mom feed a busy household

🔸 A real evening from our house during sports season and homecoming week

🔸 What the research says about family meals, and where much of the benefit may come from

🔸 Why a plan built for your real schedule works better than one built for an ideal evening

🔸 How healthy weeknight meals and family connection can both happen, even on your busiest nights

To be clear, I think family meals around the table are a good thing. If they work for your family, keep doing them! This episode is for busy seasons when they don't work so well, and my hope is to offload some of the guilt you might be feeling.
