Snarky in the Suburbs

Snarky in the Suburbs Episode #124: Beware of Family

Snarky in the Suburbs

Show Notes

Beware of family because as loads of Dear Snarky letters have shown many are not to be trusted and I have a letter that proves this point. Yikes! Then I’ve got a rant about shame and fear – have they disappeared? Next up is a new addition to the Snarky line up and it’s called “the dumbest thing I’ve been told this week.” Trust me it’s dumb, really dumb.

My observation is about birth order and personality. I’ve never believed it and I’m glad science has my back on this. Finally, the Snarky Confession is all about a huge freaking lie courtesy of my mother-in-law.

There’s Empty, a “laugh till you cry” menopausal revenge adventure perfect for any woman who buys wrinkle cream in bulk to the Snarky four pack – Back to School, Trouble in Texas, Four Seasons of Snarky and Killer Dance Mom.

Back to School is a hysterical read for every mom who’s marinated in elementary school parent drama. Trouble in Texas is a tall tale of what happens when a mother just can’t stop meddling and enlists her 40 something daughter in her schemes. Four Seasons of Snarky is the ideal book to give to someone who needs a primer on suburban revenge plots. AND Killer Dance Mom is the first Snarky mystery that involves all the crazy of being a dance mom especially when a judge gets murdered.

But wait there’s more here’s the Cameo link I was telling you about. Check it out. https://v.cameo.com/e/WxXPqZ4Kg7b

Buckle up for a Rant Palooza! Seven rants that range from Christmas to idiots online. But never fear the Dear Snarky letter is still here. This one deals with squatting and not the kind you do at the gym. I’ve also got some Halloween goodies for you that I’m sure you’ll find delicious.

We’ve got a Dear Snarky letter about new moms that aren’t messing around with their baby dos and don’ts. I’m talking Google docs and hidden cameras. The next Dear Snarky is from a woman who wants to cancel her extended family vacation and is looking for input. Spoiler - yes, she needs to cancel. My Rant is about loser comments and the Observation is also about the L word. As in how to know if you’re dating a loser – old lady edition. My Snarky Confession is the true-life tale of how I lost a friend and it was totally my fault and I’m good with that.

The Dear Snarky letters today range from a hostess with the mostess throwing an engagement party that escalated into a family feud to a marital separation that gave me the icks. My Rant is about macabre Halloween decorations. When is enough, enough? The Observation deals with money and manners – two great things that go great together. The Snarky Confessional is about how I’m actively disliking people who are reveling in an endless summer.

It’s another fab day in Snarky Land and the fun starts with two Dear Snarky letters my friends. One is a truly horrific tale of a vacation disaster, and the other one is about a mother who sounds truly terrible. The Rant is all about me going off on a mansplainer manspreading loser. Good times. My Observation proves that my fear of rollercoasters was indeed warranted. Then in the Snarky Confession I fear I could turn into a mother of the bride monster. 😱
