Why We're Done Chasing Being the "Perfect Mum"

Nobody Told Us Podcast

Show Notes

Everywhere you look, it feels like there's pressure to be the perfect mum... the perfectly packed lunches, spotless house, endless patience, thriving career, and happy kids. This week, we're calling BS. We chat about the unrealistic expectations placed on mums, the comparison trap that social media creates, and why trying to live up to an impossible standard can leave parents feeling like they're never enough. We also share our own experiences and remind ourselves (and you) that being a good mum doesn't mean being a perfect one. If you've ever felt like you weren't doing enough, this conversation is your reminder that perfection isn't the goal... and maybe it never should've been. 💛

This week’s episode gets pretty raw & real... Tomikah gives us an update on her son’s speech therapy, while Meg shares something very personal, her experience with a miscarriage 18 months ago. We talk about the pregnancy, the miscarriage, the aftermath and all the feelings that come with losing a baby. We also chat about why miscarriage can be so hard to talk about and why sharing these experiences can be so important. A vulnerable one, but a conversation we think is worth having. ❤️
