Craig FUMES at FSG! Liverpool MUST Strengthen in January

Craig returns for Part 2 of Late Night Live, with Liverpool's squad depth, January transfer priorities and the club's ambitions under Andoni Iraola taking centre stage.

With a demanding run of fixtures against Brighton, Chelsea, Arsenal and Fenerbahce approaching, Craig assesses whether Liverpool have the strength in depth to compete across multiple competitions.

The discussion turns to Liverpool's Champions League ambitions, with Craig hoping to see the Reds reach at least the quarter-finals. However, he makes it clear that simply qualifying for Europe's elite competition should never be the limit of Liverpool's ambitions.

Craig delivers a passionate message to FSG and Liverpool's recruitment team, questioning why the club continue to enter seasons with obvious gaps in the squad. He argues that January investment is essential if Liverpool are serious about challenging for silverware.

Attention also turns to Florian Wirtz and Dominik Szoboszlai, with Craig discussing whether Liverpool's midfield has looked more balanced in Szoboszlai's absence and how Iraola can get the best out of both players.

There's also a closer look at Iraola's press conference ahead of Brighton, including updates on Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch, as well as Liverpool's preparations for the weekend.

Craig then assesses Liverpool's attacking options, including Bradley Barcola, Rio Ngumoha, Víctor Muñoz and Cody Gakpo, explaining why a midfielder and right-back should take priority over signing another winger in January.

Finally, the discussion turns to Harvey Elliott's difficult loan spell at Valencia, with Craig hoping the midfielder can turn his fortunes around and make the most of his opportunity in Spain.

Are Liverpool doing enough to compete for trophies? Will FSG strengthen the squad in January? And can Iraola find the right midfield balance?
