Show Notes
This week, we’re venturing away from our usual true crime territory for something a little different.
Just as we’ve previously explored disasters including the Great Smog of London and the Titanic, this week Bethan takes us deep underground for three extraordinary stories of caving expeditions that went terribly wrong.
Beginning here in the UK, before travelling to the United States and finally Thailand, these are stories of exploration, extreme environments and the terrifying reality of becoming trapped far beneath the surface.
The first two cases take us to some particularly dark places, involving desperate rescue attempts and devastating consequences, while our final story became an international race against time that gripped the world.
