Scripture Central: LDS Come Follow Me & Church History

Summary

Marketers are increasingly vocal about "bull spend," a term used to describe advertising expenditures that may look good on paper but fail to deliver tangible results. This sentiment is echoed in discussions about the effectiveness of ad campaigns, particularly on platforms like LinkedIn, which allows for precise targeting based on company and job title.

In a theological exploration, the conversation shifts to the implications of Section 88 of the Doctrine and Covenants, a significant revelation received by Joseph Smith. This section contrasts the dire predictions of Section 87, which foretold wars and turmoil, with a message of peace and hope. The revelation discusses the nature of the universe, God's governance, and the importance of adhering to divine law for spiritual progression. It emphasizes the interconnectedness of humanity and the earth, suggesting that the ultimate goal is not just the salvation of individuals but the redemption of all creation.

The hosts delve into the practical aspects of this revelation, highlighting the establishment of a school for church leaders and the importance of education in spiritual development. They stress that learning should encompass both spiritual and secular knowledge, reinforcing the idea that education is a divine commandment. The discussion culminates in a call for members to prepare themselves for the eventual return of Christ, emphasizing the need for sanctification and community support in spiritual growth.

Overall, the episode presents a rich tapestry of theological insights and practical applications, urging listeners to reflect on their roles within the broader context of faith and community.

In the synoptic gospels, we read of the story of Jesus healing the woman who had an issue of blood. The woman had tried unsuccessfully for twelve long years to be healed. According to the Law of Moses, because she constantly was bleeding she was considered ritually unclean, and thus should not touch anyone else as they would become unclean as well. She also was unable to worship at the Temple as she was always in a state of ritual impurity. The healing touch of Jesus restored her to everyday life and temple worship, the same blessing He can do for us.Uploaded 07-02-15Sign up for email notifications for new videos here: https://bit.ly/2uV4vloFor more videos on the Life of Christ: https://bit.ly/2FgnMlSFor the text of this video: http://redeemer-of-israel.blogspot.com/2015/02/tzitzit-and-healed-woman.htmlSpecial thanks to:Appian Media for allowing me to use some of their beautiful video footage of Israel, find more about their amazing projects here: https://appianmedia.org/If you would like to help translate the subtitles visit: http://www.youtube.com/timedtext_video?v=zwwITGLlcyM&ref=share© 2019 Daniel Smith, Messages of Christ YouTube ChannelNo portion of this video may be reproduced, re-uploaded, or copied without prior permission. The products (services) offered by Messages of Christ are neither made, provided, approved nor endorsed by Intellectual Reserve, Inc. or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
