Show Notes
Stick to United with Wayne Rooney is back, and this week Manchester United legend Steve Bruce joins Wayne and Mark Goldbridge to reflect on his incredible career at Old Trafford and discuss the current state of the club.
Steve reveals how close he came to managing Man United, questions whether the club can still compete financially with their rivals, and discusses Michael Carrick's rebuild, United's recruitment problems and why Ralf Rangnick may have been right about the club.
Elsewhere, Wayne shares some brilliant dressing-room stories, including why Ruud van Nistelrooy walked out of training three times because of Cristiano Ronaldo, and the moment he smashed Ravel Morrison's phone! Steve also reflects on Eric Cantona's influence, Sir Alex Ferguson's greatest decisions and the Class of '92.
Plus, Steve recalls facing Romário and Barcelona, reveals an apology from Sir Bobby Robson, and joins the debate on United's greatest defensive partnerships and most iconic transfers.
