In this episode of The Bible Show Daily, Sam and Will walk through Ephesians 2:1–3 and talk about what it means to be “dead in trespasses and sins” apart from Christ. We read the passage, then unpack why the Bible’s diagnosis of humanity is so blunt, and why that is actually freeing instead of just shameful. You’ll hear why self-help and motivational fixes cannot solve spiritual death, and why we need resurrection, new life, and to be born again. We also discuss grace as the start of faith and include an illustration of why a dead person cannot choose God unless God first brings life. Take a moment to reflect honestly on your need, then respond with humility, gratitude, and trust in God’s grace. If this helped you understand Christianity more clearly, share it with someone who is Bible-curious. Like, comment, and subscribe for more.
