Do you remember the scene from "Snow White" when the queen asks the magic mirror a question? If you stood in front of a mirror today, what would you ask it? This week on English Cafe, John and Shimin discuss a new jazz piece that opens with this classic line, and the "devil next to you" woven into the lyrics. Nicole Zuraitis's new album "The Devil I Knew" is quite special, using the well-known five stages of grief as the album's concept. Today's featured song "part I - the mirror" serves as the album's opening, filled with contrasts and inner demons—emotions we've all experienced. After listening, why not reflect on what your own devil is!
