David Ginola Opens Up: Football, Survival and Appreciating Life | Not Just Football

Welcome to It’s Not Just Football, a weekly show hosted by three of the UK's leading sports broadcasters: Christine Lampard, Hayley McQueen, and Kelly Cates.

David Ginola reflects on his personal experiences with a deep sense of gratitude and purpose. “I met my partner in the morning, and I died in the afternoon,” he recalls, describing the life-altering cardiac arrest that changed his outlook forever. On the pitch, Ginola also reflects on his unwavering loyalty during his football career: "I gave my word when I signed for Newcastle, and no other offers could change that." His journey now culminates in a profound appreciation for life, motivating him to dedicate his work to helping others and raising awareness about saving lives.

New episodes will drop every Wednesday. Rather than breaking down the game, they'll explore how football shapes their lives, off the pitch. At the core of the show are these three hosts, united by their family ties to the sport and their shared experiences in the spotlight. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
