For a building that played such a major role in Gravelbourg's history, College Mathieu is surprisingly quiet. From its roots in the fight to preserve French education to fires, wartime buildings, and decades of community history, College Mathieu has no shortage of stories. As I continue the investigation, I explore what I uncovered about the college, the few leads that have surfaced so far, and why some buildings seem to attract legends while others remain strangely silent.
After releasing my investigation of the Convent of Jesus and Mary, something unexpected happened. The stories kept coming. What began as a search for answers inside one of Gravelbourg's most famous landmarks is quickly growing into something much larger. Reports are now emerging from across town, including stories connected to the hospital, College Mathieu, the old monastery, the Gaiety Theatre, and private homes. In this episode of What Haunts Saskatchewan: Investigating Gravelbourg, I share the latest leads, explore two new reports of unexplained activity in local homes, and begin asking a bigger question: Could the stories in Gravelbourg be connected to something larger than a single building?
